Get Ink'd #14 There's so much to love about you card

Thursday, July 12, 2018
Hey y'all!

Today's card was a happy accident! I was playing with color combinations... like which yellows look good together. I wanted to see how So Saffron and Mango Melody looked so I grabbed a stamp set that has 2 step stamping and started to play. Here is the end result.

The card base is Gray Granite (4 1/4x 5 1/2") with a side fold. Then layered with Whisper White, Artistic Impressions DSP, Blueberry Bushel, and the stamped piece of Whisper White. I used Night of Navy gingham ribbon and a second generation Night of Navy stamped sentiment. Y'all I ran out of Night of Navy paper and I felt that the Blueberry Bushel was close enough to the light places in the ribbon to use together. I did use my Stamparatus to line up the flowers and the "grass". I'm still getting used to pulling it out rather than a block and eyeballing it. I'm happy with the results!

To order the supplies I used click on the pictures below and you will be taken to my Stampin' Up! store. I hope that you were inspired to create something today!

Catalog share... Abstract Impressions

Tuesday, June 12, 2018
Hey Y'all!
I wanted to make sure that I shared this video from Stampin' Up! I have fallen in love with this set even though I don't consider myself a flower person. That is... I don't gravitate to flower sets. But this set got me from the second that I saw the new catalog and it was my first set from the pre order.

I love how you can build the large flower or use any of the three images to make an amazing project. Here are some of the projects that are in the new 2018- 19 Annual Catalog. Aren't they wonderful???

Now for that video that I wanted to make sure you got a chance to see...

I hope that this inspired you to create something today! I would love to see your creations.

I would LOVE to be your Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Get Ink'd #7 Watercolor roses

Thursday, May 17, 2018
Hey Y'all!
I wanted to share a card made with one of the brand new 2018 Annual Catalog stamp sets. As a demonstrator, we got the chance to pre order 17 of the new sets!! You can get them now too by joining my team. For $99 you get to pick $125 in product including the pre order for the new catalog AND you get to see the new catalog before June 1! It's a great time to join.

When Anna Claire was about 2 years old, she had this ADORABLE outfit from Gap kids that was pink with dark pink sweetheart roses. I have always loved that pattern and recently found sheets for my bed too. So when I saw this set I knew EXACTLY what my first stamped card would be. Pink on pink sweetheart roses!

Another thing that is totally inspiring me right now is watercolors. Y'all years and years ago, when dinosaurs walked the planet I was an art major. Watercolor and mixed media were my art forms. It's been years since I painted anything, but I LOVE how water reacts to paper. Stampin' Up! has a great watercolor paper. It's on page 194 in the bottom right corner of the 2017 Annual Catalog. You get 5 sheets for $5. I have a tutorial coming on some of my favorite ways to use watercolor paper!

The background is Whisper White paper that I cut apart and layered on to a Powder Pink card base. I also die cut a "swirl" in Old Olive paper from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits set. I used the biggest swirl. This is another item I seem to reach for over an over... my Big Shot and thinlits dies.

I added Wink of Stella over the watercolor roses and sequins for a sparkle! This was a really fun card to make. I hope you are inspired to create something today!
