CASE the designer

Hey y'all!
Today I am sharing a card that I have fallen in love with. The original card idea came from Andrea over and One Mother Tucker. If you haven't checked out her blog, you need too!! Her cards and projects are beautiful. Here is the card I decided to CASE:

So let's start by identifying what it was about this card that I wanted to copy.  I love so much about this card. The stamped background, the layers of pattern paper under the embossed cardstock. I love how the leaves are stacked under the sentiment.  Another thing that I love about this card is the ease at which it can be recreated when you look at the components - pattern paper (DSP) with cardstock on top. Cardstock that  you have embossed with an embossing folder. The twine or ribbon around the top layer. All these pieces are like ingredients in a cake recipe.

Here is how I put those pieces together.

Let's dive in and talk about it.

Details for today's card

I took each of the ingredients from above and put them into this card. I created a stamped background using Soft Sea Foam, Seaside Spray, and Sahara Sand. The base of this card is Seaside Spray. Then I layered the grid looking paper from the Classic Christmas 6 x 6" paper. The focus is on the seed pods from a new stamp set that is coming in the January to June mini catalog. It's called Enjoy the Moment. I took a piece of Sahara Sand paper and ran in through the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder. I finished the card off with the Polka Dot tulle ribbon and the linen thread.

Thank you Andrea for the inspiration and the perfect card for me to CASE!
