Seeing Circles, a The Spot Creative Challenge card

Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Hey Y'all!! Happy Tuesday! I look forward to this day each week because I get to issue a challenge... drop the gauntlet so to speak. This week we are challenging you to use this sketch. Since it is Thanksgiving week in the U.S., I expect you have some extra time laying around and will join us! Here in Arkansas it's also deer hunting season and LOT of men are in the deer woods- hey deer widows, I see you!
My card today is for you ladies. And I LOVE it! Every year my husband runs off to the deer wood. He will stay gone for days on end and return looking a bit like Grizzly Adams. This is usually the time of year where I get to hang with the ladies and have girls weekends. But like much else in 2020, those girl weekends didn't happen. But lots of crafting and face time calls did. Let's dive into this adorable (missing my people) card!

Details for today's card

There are so many things to love in this card (and sketch). I love this sketch as circles. I can see SOOO many cards where that large circle is a stamped image or cut out from DSP. Or what if we switch it up and made the circles stars, or hearts! Oh y'all!!! Talk about something you need in your tool box. This is the color scheme for the card:

I started with Petal Pink as my card base. I used the 6x6 color family DSP and the Best Dressed stamp set for this card. I LOVE these colors together. The are soft but have a little kick to them too. Soft Sea Foam is a color that I don't normally reach for, but it was PERFECT for this card. It's what I stamped the perfume bottle with as well as the color I used for the greeting flag.

This sketch caught my eye the second I saw it. It was like visions of sugar plums dancing in my head! If I haven't convinced you that you need to create a project, then hop on over to the team page and see the amazing cards that the team made.
