Happy Birthday to you Sale a bration

Sunday, February 23, 2020
Happy Sunday! Did you know that Sale-a-bration is almost half over??? On March 3 the second set of Sale-a-bration items will be released. I am madly creating with them so I can share (demonstrators get to order early- it's a perk). I'm telling you that there is a stamp set in round 2 that is my all time favorite!!!

Today's card is using one of the current gift with purchase sets in the first Sale-a-bration catalog. It also features one of the Designer Series papers.

As usual I tell it like it is. This Birthday set really didn't jump out at me when I first saw it. I was kind of meh about it. I liked it. I saw the potential and I saw a LOT of fussy cutting. Then Stampin' Up! released the Product Coordinations and y'all this one jumped up to my gotta get it list! The dies make cutting this cake so worth it! The best part is that those flowers can be cut out on their own or as part of the cake.

The dies are a great addition. I love that there is a cake stand by it's self and look at those sprig and leaf dies! The two dies on the left cut the flowers and cake and just the flowers (top).

This is the stamp set. It's free with a $50 purchase. In my card I used the cake image and die cut it with the cake and flower die. In the background I stamped the "confetti" Rococo Rose on Rococo Rose Cardstock. The happy birthday sentiment is from the new Label Me Bold stamp set. It is a must have set. The honey comb looking paper is part of the Golden Honey DSP (designer series paper) from the Sale-a-bration catalog. Some dimentionals and rhinestones and this card is ready to celebrate!

Details for today's card

  • Card Base- Crumb Cake with a side fold.
  • Merry Merlot cut to 4x5.25"
  • The honeycomb paper from Golden Honey DSP cut to 3 7/8x 5 1/8"- sponged with Rococo Rose and Merry Merlot ink.
  • Rococo Rose cut to 2.75" wide and die cut with the scalloped end.
  • scraps of Whisper White for the cake and sentiments.
  • Blends to color cake

A few of my favorite suites day 2! Tropical Oasis Suite

Wednesday, January 8, 2020
Welcome to day 2 of a few of my favorite suites! Today I'm sharing the Tropical Oasis suite. Being a Florida girl and wanna be tropical girl, this suite screamed at me! Literally, I screamed when I saw it. The feel is what I would call Hemmingway South Florida. I can picture the warm breezes sitting in the shade overlooking a beach. I bet you want to see it,  don't ya?

Did you notice this embossed background? It's one of the new 3D embossing folders. It's called Coastal Weave and it's stunning!! It reminds me of woven bags and hats that we see everywhere in the Caribbean. And the Memories and More cards are perfect for both scrapbook pages and cards.

A few of my favorite suites day 1- Birthday Bonanza Suite

Monday, January 6, 2020
Morning!
Today I am sharing some more of the Stampin' Up! videos of my favorite suites. This suite grabbed my attention from the first second I saw it! I shared my lion Birthday Bonanza Suite card a few days ago but I couldn't share the videos yet. There are so many great things that you can do with this set. I can not wait to see what you make.

Here is a walk through of the Designer Series Paper.

I LOVE this layout from the Mini Catalog. Maybe I need to have a party just to create all the cute projects! The colors used in this suite are so happy and cheerful, sure to make any birthday bright.

Look at how cute this toucan looks with the paper from the Tropical Oasis Suite!! Tomorrow I am going to share about that suite.

It's here! The Mini Catalog is finally here!

Friday, January 3, 2020
Y'all I have literally been dying to share these catalogs with you! If you have ordered from me in the last year, you were mailed copies that you should have now. If you don't have a demonstrator already, I would love to get you a copy and be your demonstrator.

Today I am sharing some videos from Stampin' Up! that go along with my favorite sets and suites.

First up a walk through of the brand new Mini Catalog!! This year Stampin' Up! hit it out of the park with this catalog. There are SO many beautiful new sets and suites that I know you are going to love.

Let's start with a look at the suite I used in the first A Little Kinder Color Challenge.

I hope you loved getting to see the new From My Heart Products! I couldn't wait to use them either. I think my favorite thing about this suite is that it's not limited to just I love you type cards.

Count down to Sale-a-bration... card #3 tomorrow is the BIG day!

Thursday, January 2, 2020
Today I am sharing a card using the new Bonanza Birthday suite. I am in love with this set!!! I love the style of this set. It reminds me of elementary school art when we would "draw" on foam meat trays and then make a print from it. When we got to see the catalog at the beginning of December the question was thrown around about if this set was just for kids. My answer was heck no! This set is all about fun and bright colors!

Details for today's card

This is a side fold card. I cut the DSP to 4 x 51/4". Then I added a strip of 1" paper before I added it to the card base. I used the die set to cut a tag from Pool Party. I used the 2" circle punch and the Starburst punch to make the base for the lion image. I stamped the lion with So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The finishing touches are sequins and some of the beautiful new Daffodil Delight ruched ribbon.

Hello Fabulous... Count down to sale-a-bration Card #1

Saturday, December 28, 2019
Sale-a-bration is one of my most favorite times in the Stampin' Up! year. This is when every dollar you spend earns you free product. There are so many great stamp sets coming you are going to want them all. Sale-a-bration also means that there is a new catalog! In years past this mid year release was called the Occasions Catalog but it is getting a make over and a new name. The Mini Catalog will run from January to June and it's packed with some sets that I could not wait to get in the pre order.

I love the swish stamp that give the bottle of perfume a watercolored look.  I really feel like Stampin' Up! has stepped up their message stamps. I love the script " hello" with the typed "fabulous".  And those dies! Do you have these Stitched Nested Label dies? I swear they are my favorite! There is a close contender in the Mini Catalog.

Details for today's card

The base for this card is Purple Posey. I layered a Soft Suede piece that measures 5 1/4 by 4". Then I added two floral strips that are about an inch and a half wide. I then stamped on one of the Stitched Nested Dies and free handed a mat out of Purple Posey. I used some of the Black Glittered Organdy ribbon and Stampin' Dimentionals to add the Stitched Nested shape to the card.

The inspiration for this card came from my team's sketch challenge. I really love this sketch. So many possibilities!

Get Ink'd- More Happy Tails

Thursday, January 17, 2019
Today I have another Happy Tails card for you. This one features a technique I'm seeing a lot of. You stamp a sentiment down one side of the card in either different colors of ink or in different generations of the same color of ink. For this card I used Gray Granite ink and stamped 2-3 times before I re-inked so that I had second and third generations of ink. This makes the ink appear lighter in color.
